This regiment
was moved from Camp William Penn to Washington, May 5th, 1865. After a brief stay at Camp
Casey it was assigned to guard prisoners at Point Lookout, Md., and subsequently to patrol
and provost duty at Richmond, Va., and points in Virginia, with headquarters at
Burkeville. It was mustered out at Richmond, October 1st, 1865.
